I'm comparing this keyboard/case to my experience with other Keyboard Cases, such as: Previous Targus Versa View 360 for iPad 3 ($99 at the time); Zagg Folio Keyboard for iPad 3 ($99) Logitech Keyboard / Stand Combo ($59); New Trent Airbender Air ($56) and New Trent Airbender 2.0 ($69). Bear Motion slim Keyboard case w/ detachable keyboard for Air ($29) All of which have very respectable reviews - and all of which I could be reasonably happy with. After growing up a technophile and studying computer science at University of KY, my technology gadgets mean the world to me. Not only do I use them professionally but also for many numerous recreational activities and personal study projects. I grew up using Windows everything until the iPhone came out. The rest is history. I won't be going back anytime soon. I love the iOS environment, have always loved iTunes for organizing and playing my MP3's. Now I also love OSX and the awesome compatibility and iCloud advantages across my iPhones, iPads and iMac... Makes life amazingly smooth, easy and complete! As far as keyboard and case accessories for the iPads and iPhones, I believe the best possible fit to your lifestyle and requirements is the absolute most important decision you can make after investing in the already inflated prices of Apple products. I love to save money as much as the next guy, but I would never advise anyone to skimp on their case(s). Choosing the right case is every bit, if not more important than choosing the right tablet! That said, I have to love this ultra-thin keyboard/cover. There's very little not to like. In fact, after reading the reviews here on Amazon, I was really worried about the plastic separating from the metal when iPad is in the groove, the creaking sounds when touching the screen, the weak battery hold while iPad was in groove - I just got mine from Amazon on 1/14/14 and I can say with confidence all of these annoying problems have been well resolved. I have no issues whatsoever with any of these problems. I can easily pick my iPad and keyboard up when in Landscape and carry it anywhere like that. I can only pick it up a short time while in portrait however, but this is no big deal to me... So here are my Loves and Worries: Loves: #1 - Exact fit, finish and feel when covering iPad Air. #2 - Reasonably light. (only slightly lighter than the Air itself) #3 - Only slightly thinner than the Air. (almost double width/weight when in use) #4 - Perfectly natural keyboard touch, feels exactly like my iMac keyboard. #5 - The half size quote key/question mark key don't affect my typing at all. #6 - Love the landscape and portrait ability (a must have for me). #7 - Love being able to attach it backwards and have my keyboard attached but not in the way when I want to use it as a simple tablet with nothing else dangling around #8 - Bluetooth connectivity and compatibility was extra easy and intuitive. #9 - I absolutely love the auto Wake/Sleep feature - don't mess with a case that does not have that feature (Like both the new and old Targus Versa Views, which I love in a whole lot of respects but both lack this simple yet invaluable feature!!! #10- Build quality, and function of this thing is absolutely amazing. Feels great, looks great, and only adds to the great looks of my iPad Air. #11- I can easily separate the iPad and take it with me when I don't need a keyboard, or if I want to put the iPad in another case for some reason... This is a big one for me, because I'm a firm believer in having at least 4-5 cases for all occasions! Also, every time I put it in a different case, it's like having a whole new device! New Laptop, new tablet, etc! #12- All the magnets are powerful, all moving parts are solid and I can tell it will handle all the abuse it will ever face with poise and grace! #13- No screen Lock button right by the delete button, Yea! #14- Security, quality and design of a Logitech brand item.My Worries: #1. No protection for the back of my iPad. (I'm sure they make clear protectors for the back, just like they do the front... definitely be worth investing in one of those) #2. No dedicated iPad iOS keys, you have to use the function keys (no biggie) #3. No screen brightness keys which is important for me when you use your iPad in as many environments as I do, but with iOS7 and the quick menu, this is not AS big of a deal. #4. Only one viewing angle in Portrait/Landscape which is a pain when I'm in bed or on the couch/recliner reading or surfing and want to have the iPad resting on my chest at a much lower viewing angle so I can lay flat and still see the screen perpendicular to my field of vision... This one is probably the biggest deal breaker for me. #5. Scratch that, the biggest deal breaker for me is the price. ($79) When I can get what looks like the exact same thing from the Anker company for less than half that... My over-all opinion of this product is an A+ if you like the idea of what this product is and does, and love quality equipment, then you definitely won't be disappointed with this purchase. I highly recommend it. However, if you want way more functionality and don't mind a little bit of a geeky/techie look, my all time favorite keyboard case for the iPad Air is with out a doubt the New Trent AirBender 2.0 You owe it to yourself to at least try it out and a few other worthy keyboard cases that have high reviews on Amazon to be sure that you get the one that best suits YOUR specific needs and lifestyle. Or like me, keep 4-6 of them so you have the perfect one for all occasions!!! Best of Luck.... You won't regret this purchase!
