I have been using a Casio keyboard for over 10 years and was excited to upgrade. Here are the reasons why this piano missed the mark.Great basic keyboard for your first year playing piano. Any serious players or musicians will want something better.Views are not full size keys, if you are studying piano or are a serious student you want an electric keyboard with full sized keys. The action on the piano is very stiff and not good for beginners. While this does mimic the bounce back of a real piano I don’t find the sticky keys helpful while playing. The sound quality should be much louder and clear and a model of this price point in size. I find the sound to be Twangy and Tinny.Fun little key board to play around on. The keys are not weighted in the least and there really isn't a sustain on it. There is a sustain option but it doesn't do much. Plugs into the wall and I believe it runs off of batteries too. It has a little microphone and music stand. It would be a fun little piano for beginners to play around on. Lots of fun options for changing things as you play. You can even set it for the keys to light up when you play them. It's got some good volume to it too (for a little plug in keyboard).Don't expect anything fancy but it is a fun little key board. This piano is a pretty good option for someone who’s just getting started and wanting to learn how to play a piano. I chose the white color option, because it’s more unique compared to standard black pianos and give up that extra nice touch. Being that his piano is more so for beginners, it does have a learning function that illuminates the key so you can practice and learn how to play different songs. It works pretty well, but doesn’t necessarily teach you the entire song, but it’s still great to get started and a big help. It’s a good size and easily portable if you need to take it around with you. The music is easily exported through a 3.5mm Jack to headphones it audio recorders. It even comes with a microphone for anyone who can sign and play simultaneously. This keyboard could have been a promising item, but it is overrun by several poor decisions on the manufacturers' part and subpar features which ultimately make it mediocre:1) The power cord is on the short side (just over 3'5" from the tip of adapter to the prongs of the plug, which means you have slightly less than that to work with when trying to plug everything in). This length may work if you are planning to keep this keyboard stationary on a stand...even then, it will have to be pretty close to a power outlet. But it's worth noting that this is a not-quite-full-size keyboard that is also meant to be portable. I wound up having to use an extension cord.2) The instruments in the device's instrument bank – the pianos in particular – sound somewhat tinny and artificial: they do not have the quality one would presume of a keyboard of this class (size and price). I could REALLY tell whenever I held down a key to get a sustained note – it wavers (e.g., like a record being played at the wrong speed for a second), and I found I could even detect this occasionally during the course of regular playing, whenever several keys are played rapidly in succession. I am uncertain if this has to do with the quality of the keyboard's speakers or the "synthesizer engine" which is generating the sounds...or possibly both.3) The light-up keys and "follow" (teaching) mode are the very things that could help add to the value of this keyboard...but the teaching mode was implemented in a half-baked measure: it only provides users with guidance on the melody portion of a song. This is rather limited if someone is trying to learn how to play the entire song!4) Speaking of which: the teaching mode only gives instruction on the songs that can be played in the keyboard's demonstration mode...and the selection provided in that bank of songs is eclectic, at best. A couple of the songs may have titles that don't correspond with users' expectations (e.g., "Happy New Year" wound up actually being "Happy Birthday"). I didn't recognize quite a few of the demo songs; after examining the list (and doing a bit of research), I found that a significant portion of them seem to come from China. There is nothing wrong with providing Chinese songs, particularly since this is the likely origin of manufacture for this item...but considering that this item is going to a global market/audience, the selection of songs should be more well-rounded – especially since you cannot add any additional songs! This item's own description page itself calls this keyboard "...for beginners...for the entry-level player" and I would say that is more than accurate: I would get this for my kids to plink around on, maybe, but not for anything remotely approaching serious. To be frank, I feel this keyboard fits best among those being offered around the $75-$99 range; anything above that is a reach. The limited range of the keyboard makes it so that I can't play most of the songs I'm used to due to being out of range, but it's a great learning tool for those who have never played before. This also comes with a sticker pack for labeling the keys, which is extremely helpful when you haven't mentally mapped notes to their keys yet, or otherwise do not know what keys would align with what notes. The speakers are decent quality and start off being quite loud but can be adjusted to be as loud or quiet as you would like them to be so as to not disturb the other people in your house. They also have a 3.5mm headphone jack if you'd prefer to not use the speakers at all. I'd recommend this to any parent who has a child wanting to learn how to play, but would recommend looking into better keyboards in the future.this piano is beginner friendly. I love how it comes with a book holder. and I love anything in all white. there are so many options and helpful ways to help you play the only thing this piano doesn’t have is a self teach button you have to know how to play a piano. LolGood tone, well built. Comes with microphone but limited instructions on how to install. Providing hours of fun for youngster and hopefully will become a source for musical enjoyment. This is a great beginner keyboard! My stepdaughter loves playing on this and singing her songs, our doggie too.
