I picked up this tray for my work desk so I could free up some space on an already narrow desk that I have to fit a laptop, docking station, and 2 monitors. If I have one piece of advice it is to assemble and test fit to make sure you are in the right spot that works for you. There are no measurements or guides on how far back to affix the main bracket to the desk. I went about 1 inch back from the edge of the desk to the edge of the bracket and it was not enough to get the try fully under the desk when tucked away. I would have needed to to about another 3-4 inches back but that would have left the keyboard and tray partially under the desk when extended. Basically test fit like I said so you can find the spot that works for you. I'm OK with it sticking out from under the desk a little but you might not be.Same as many others I removed the stop screws and the slide in order to mount the bracket since I was working solo. No reason to complain about it since the directions clearly state 'HEAVY' on that step and suggest 2 people. As others have also expressed, there is some wobble while typing. Not enough to effect typing at all. Again, if you can live with it this is still a great product. Short of welding it in place, there is nothing you can do and not one tray I can think of that would not wobble. This one could possibly be reduced if the slide was an actual track and not just a plastic bushing in a metal channel but then your are talking major cost increase. Some guidance in the directions on where to optimally place the bracket from the edge of the desk so you can tuck it away and extend it out efficiently would have made this a 5 star.Doesn't work mounting where there is a lip, so I had to screw another board under my desk. Once that was done, it installed pretty easily. I removed the stops and separated the two parts so I could hold just the one piece to get it screwed into place. Once it was mounted under the desk, it was easy to slide it back together and put the stops back.Nice adjustability (both tilt and swivel). Locking mechanism holds the tilt in place unless I want to change it.My only complaint is the low quality wrist support. It has a plastic grid inside to support the rubber exterior, and the grid is spaced too wide so it feels lumpy with squishy areas in-between. Adhesive holds it to the desk well but the edges of the rubber separated from the adhesive portion so I can stick fingers inside and feel the plastic grid. Now it's time to look for a replacement, but I'm certain this adhesive isn't going anywhere.I installed under a built-in shelf/desk unit. I had to do quite a bit of measuring and prep before I got to the installation itself - primarily due to the fact that the underside of my desk unit has cross-braces I had to deal with. Once I got to the install, first, I taped the template to the bottom of the desk area; second, punched locations for my holes. Then drilled 3/32 holes only to the depth of the provided screws (I used the longer ones). I was by myself, and trying to install the pull-out is a bit unwieldy as provided. So ... remove the two stop screws at the front of the track-plate that retains the adjustable pull-out unit. Be careful to catch the nylon stop-washers. Then, pull the slide-out portion out of the unit. Now, one person can then proceed with screwing in the base plate/track to the bottom of the desk. Finally, slide the pull-out portion back in, replace the stop-screws and the nylon washers and proceed with the rest of the install. Pretty straight-forward deviation from the provided instructions. The unit is sturdy enough for typing and mouse work, and nicely adjustable to help with better ergonomic placement of the keyboard and mouse. I might add a larger mouse extension, but the space provided seems to be enough for a decent range of mouse movement for now.really like this purchase in that it is of a high quality, and works just as described. It is adjustable and you can get the keyboard and mouse right where you like it. The only thing that keeps this from being perfect is as you type you do get a little bouncing on the keyboard, unless you kind of butt the tray against the desk. It's something I think I can deal with but it is a little distracting. The hardware is heavy duty, but there is just a little "play" in a couple of the bolts at the arm that extends and this combines to add just a little wiggle when your banging on the keys if you don't have it kind of wedged to the desk. But overall I'm happy with the purchase and would recommend. The only semi-con for me is that the unit, excluding the shelf itself, is all one piece making it heavy & awkward if you do not have strength in your hands. The pros are that the unit is very well made & easy to attach under the desk. I would recommend it as long as seniors have an assistant. They do point the weight issue out so kudos to the company.Installed this in less than 5 minutes, it works great on my desk and is sturdy. This materials are all well designed and built. But it wobbles to the left and right when you rest your hand on it. Not super stable.
