I'm not a big reviewer, and should probably do better, so I thought I'd review this Logitech Ergo K860 keyboard. I type a lot almost every day and all day. I have been for over 20 years and haven't been as careful with hand position, etc. I'd noticed my wrists starting to hurt by the afternoon, especially my right wrist (mostly when using the mouse). I'd been using another Logitech keyboard which had an arch in it, and think that helped some, but I knew I'd better do something about the mouse, and decided to give an ergonomic keyboard a try.First, the quietness is outstanding. If I'm in an online meeting (as I am very often) and forget to mute, no one knows I'm typing. I like the distance of the strokes, which is a bit shorter than usual. I found it comfortable, and after a little over two weeks, I'm as fast as before, if not faster. It does take a little time to get used to, but by the end of the first day, I was fairly comfortable with it. The only issue is with my right hand. I haven't quite mastered dropping it on the correct keys without a quick glance yet. But once I'm there, I have no problem. It includes the Logitech dongle, but paired right up to the one already in the PC from the previous Logitech Keyboard. As a side note, I decided I liked the idea of a "vertical mouse," but did not go with the Logitech one due to cost, since that's the one I worried the most about not liking. I got a Delux mouse, and have been pleased with it, but I'll review that on that product page.I've had this keyboard for 15 months and use it all day 5-days a week. The appearance of the keys and wrist rest keys wore much faster than other keyboards. The keys on the left side feels a little closer together than the right (my pinky and ring finger often rub together on the left side but not the right), and the backspace key feels too far away. After 15 months (3 after the warranty expired) one of the front "legs" to lift the keyboard broke and now I have to lower or raise it higher - neither of those are comfortable to my position.I bought this for an ergo keyboard with built-in Bluetooth that can pair to multiple computers. I switch between a PC and Mac dozens of times per day with ease, and the key commands work great. I never installed any software for it - the only thing it doesn't do without the software is the calculator button doesn't work on Mac, but does work for PC.Bought this to replace my MS Natural 4000 keyboard, which I did love, but after many years of service a key has stopped functioning on it. With the need for a replacement I decided to switch to a wireless unit - otherwise I would have picked up another of the same. There is a big difference between the chicklet style keys on the K860 and the MS Natural keyboard, so I'm having a bit of a time getting used to the reduced key travel distance. I feel like it does take a bit more force on this keyboard to activate the keys, which is not ideal for an ergonomic keyboard. That said I think that this keyboard may have a bit more of a curve to it, which is opening up the wrists a bit more, which is good ergonomically. The one thing I don't like on this keyboard is how cramped it is. The functions kys are smaller, and pressed up close to the number keys, and the numpad and other special function keys are pressed in close on the right of the keyboard. I'm not sure why they felt they had to cram everything together on a desktop keyboard. Sure, for the function keys, the thinking might have been that people could reach for them without raising their wrists, but I think even people with long fingers will still need to... and there is no question you need to raise and move your hand for the numpad.I've only been using it for a few hours, so I can't comment on the battery life, or strength of the signal. I have not experienced any issues with responsiveness though. I've been using wireless Logitech mice for some time, so I feel pretty confident in their wireless tech.****Update: after a couple of days use I have also noted that the cramped layout also means that my hands tend to sit a little too wide - I tend to have my left hand properly "homed", with index finger sitting on "F", but then my right hand is too far to the right, with my index finger two keys over from home, sitting on the "L" key not the "J" key. So the ergonomics of this keyboard could be improved.Keyboard was delivered in the timeframe promised, in the original box with all protective packaging and components. It looks new (wouldn't have known it was repurposed/used) and it operates like it were new. It may take some getting used to the ergonomic design and placement of the hands/keys (which is to be expected as most of us are used to the old fashioned keyboard placement), but outside of getting used to it the first day or so, it's great. My hands/wrists are comfortable and the wrist support is nice. The curved keyboard is interesting...I'm not sure what the science is behind it, but it feels comfortable so it must do something to relieve wrist pain. I'd recommend this keyboard.I ordered this product as I was going to be working from home for the next 6 months. I type a fair amount for emails, documents, etc. and needed something that could handle heavy hands while providing accuracy. The Logitech has been a great keyboard so far. It hooks up to three different PC's/Mac's easily through the bluetooth function - no software to install. Changing is a simple key stroke. It is very accurate and keeps up with no issues. It's very comfortable and has a great wrist position. I feel no fatigue when typing for hours. Great job Logitech! Now will be the test to see how it holds up over time.Keyboard (8/10)PROS:- Logitech unifying receiver (works with my MX Master 2s)- Comfortable to type on, removes pressure off my wrists- Typing experience (Not too different from a conventional keyboard)CONS:- For my uses, I would have preferred a tenkeyless design but at this price range, there isn't really much choice- The Fn key, would have preferred it be on the left side and not on the right sideRefurbishing Process (6/10)My keyboard was missing the battery cover, meaning the batteries might fall out during transport and I can't put the USB dongle within the keyboard for transport purposes.Otherwise, the packaging and product itself were fine. No signs of use.Item is great from a functional view and good to use on multiple devices, item was described as new but in fact was either an open box or returned item, no manuals and missing batteriesI was afraid of buying an ergonomic keyboard that is not "Microsoft" since I have been using the Microsoft Ergonomic keyboard since it was first launched years ago.I am not afraid anymore, this keyboard has good quality and works perfectly! No noise anymore during my typing and the possibility of connecting it by Bluetooth or USB/Wireless is bliss.
